Founded in 1996 by Peter Schwarz, Independent Graphic Services, Inc. is a leader in providing technical solutions, press evaluation, service, replacement parts and installation of sheetfed offset presses. Today, as recognized graphic arts industry experts, IGS brings over 130 years of factory training and engineering experience to assist its customers with all of their press service and parts requirements. IGS installs, troubleshoots, repairs and provides new, used, rebuilt and remanufactured replacement parts for sheetfed presses to ensure that your machine performs to factory specifications and beyond. IGS also specializes in press remarketing programs, accessories, refurbishing and exchange programs, consumables such as ELKALUB lubricants, and TEKON Ink Distribution Systems.

Peter Schwarz, President – During his successful career, and prior to forming IGS, Peter held senior management positions with MAN Roland in the US and Germany, with major responsibility for service and technical management.

Born in Offenbach am Main, and now a US Citizen, Peter received a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Chamber of Guilds Rhein-Main in Frankfurt, Germany.

IGS ACQUISITION
In 2005, Independent Graphic Services Inc. was acquired by the investment firm of Sound Equity Partners, LLC. Sound Equity Partners is looking forward to investing their talents and capital for expansion of IGS and supporting the company with their vast resources to serve our customers better.
